Susan Schnidermesser DPM


Dr. Schneidermesser graduated from the prestigious Franklin and Marshall College with a major in Biology in 1987. She then went on to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where she graduated with a doctorate in podiatric medicine in 1991. Dr. Schneidermesser trained with the Surgical Residency program in New York affiliated hospitals and was the Chief Resident in Foot Surgery.


Dr. Schneidermesser is a Board Certified Foot Surgeon. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of a variety of other professional podiatric associations.

Professional Experience

After completing her medical degree, Dr. Schneidermesser completed her residency at New York Hospitals.

After spending a year as the Chief Resident in Foot Surgery, Dr. Schneidermesser was invited to become the Surgical Instructor for the Orthopedic and Podiatric Surical Residency programs at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, a position she still holds today.

Dr. Schneidermesser is also the Clinical Director of Podiatry at KJMC and staff podiatrist at both Rutland Nursing Home and River Manor Nursing Home in Brooklyn, New York.

Since 1995, she has been a part of the Eastern Parkway Medical Office, teaming with the rest of our Medical Team to provide both general and specialized health care for you.

She is a well-respected health care provider in the area. Both her peers and patients have highly praised her. She has received accolades such as the President’s Award at KJMC for being an outstanding medical care provider.

Dr. Schneidermesser is not simply a dedicated clinician, but also one who is able to provide her patients with the latest advances in foot care. She continues to be at the forefront of Podiatric Medicine. She recently received Board Certification in Foot Surgery, as well as in Non-Invasive Shockwave Therapy. Dr. Schneidermesser also is certified in Laser Surgery, Infection Control and Arthroscopy of the Foot and Ankle.


Dr. Schneidermesser is an outdoor enthusiast. In her free time, you can find her on the mountain skiing, or possibly on the lake fishing. She also enjoys hiking and environmental biology. When relaxing at home, she enjoys listening to Jazz and Blues/
